The works of the show are collages / remixes build on user generated content available in the Warehouse library of Sketchup. They explore the formation of subjectivity through online space, language and communication. The work is an online process with different outcomes, here presented as image sequences in facebook albums. They are subjective spaces built on the designs of the sketchup community which has been under transformation throughout the years. Developed as a project of Last software company in 2000, sketchup was sold to Google in 2006.What intrigued Google in acquiring it was the new at that time Google Earth plugin. From then a large community of volunteer 3d designers for Google Earth and Sketchup emerged. Google sold Sketchup to Trimble in 2012. Trimble converted it to a SketchupPro .At this point Google decided not to use any more user generated content from the community for the representations in Google Earth. This story reflekts on the affection of corporate power on the online communities as environments of identity construction and curation.
